How much information to put on a wiki if you want to encourage students to own it

Having browsed a few teacher/learner wikis, I've noticed that there seems to be a lot more of teacher than learner content. Maybe I'm not digging deep enough, but I wonder if learners like more structure eg. questions to respond to, OR more open space that they can personalise? Is there a happy medium? Karen
